Water bottle mayhem!

Tomie has a tendency to attack the water bottle- she will grab onto the spout, plant her feet, and yank at it aggressively. She acts like she's trying to pull the water bottle across the room with her. So yesterday she attacked the spout with her usual gusto, but this time all her previous yanking had dislodged the spout so that she pulled it right out of the bottle and stood there confused with the spout at her feet while all the water started gurgling out onto my carpet! I'd like to think the learned a lesson from this but I'm pretty sure she learned nothing! We fixed the spout and she was back to yanking on it aggressively in no time!
 
Jack and Jake both drank so aggressively that they kept detaching the spout from the bottle - plastic bottle and they actually broke the plastic holding the spout in, rather than just dislodging the spout itself. I went through so many water bottles, lol.

Bert used to attack the spout too but never quite managed to dislodge it completely. Hope your carpet has recovered and Tomie doesn’t think it was such fun that she does it again 😂

I really hope she didn't think it was fun and exciting! She has learned to open the cage door by incidentally biting it in just the right way so we now have safety pins holding it shut. I didn't think she'd remember what she had done to open it, but she did!
