Hello all

I have a C&C cage with liners. Under the liners I use incontinence pads to protect the Correx. The problem I have is the bottles drip a bit and it leaks between the incontinents pads and Correx

I have ordered drip pads from Ziggy, but what bottles do you all use and how do you fit them to the grids?

I will look through the C&C cage thread, but if you could provide pics I would be grateful.

I use a glass water bottle, provided you fill it,all the way to the top. No leaks.
it comes with a coiled spring thing. That fits at the top, of the bottle there is a dip in the bottle where it goes. Then they is a wire bottle holder the bottle sits in this

I have the same, they're good.

I have a mixture of glass and plastic and they are ok for me at the moment, but I have had both glass and plastic ones that are dodgy.

You can see in this pic that I put the nozzle through the grids and then use a spring or pope cleaner to support the top.

No not really, or at least the ones I have at the moment don't leak. I have had ones in the past that have done though.

Ah, I find it easier to attach them to the outside of the cage with the spout pointing in through the grids, but could I attach them to the inside and use drip pads? Is that what others do?

I use glass bottles that have a flat side to go up against the bars, but that means they could be hooked up on either side as long as you swivel the spout around. I hook them up on the outside because my two are idiots and they can't do anything stupid with them like that, but hooking them up inside would be a doddle.

Piggies seem to be particularly messy with drinking from bottles for some reason. The water bottle mine had didn't leak, but half of it always ended up in the substrate rather than inside anyone. Does anyone know why this is a piggy-specific issue? I'm currently experimenting with them having a water bowl instead!
