Hi I just got a piece of vet bed. Can anyone tell me how it is washed, if it can go in tumble dryer and how often it needs washed . Thanks rolleyes

Wash at 40 degree's, Do not tumble dry. Can be washed at 95 degree's for a disinfecting wash.

I wash my vet bed in the machine and wash it twice a week cause i have to clean my messy lot out every 2 days and i have enough vet bed to alternate. I am not sure about the tumble dryer cause i dont have one, but it dries really quickly hung on an airer (within the same day usually). I absolutly love vet bed, it really is absorbant and keeps the cage dry and i have had mine for about 2 years now and its still going strong xx

Thanks ! I think I will buy another piece to alternate . I am loving it .... I wish I'd known about it years ago .

I have used vet bed for quite a while now i have had both the green backed and the non slip variety, it can shrink especially the non slip. I wash at 40 sometimes at 60 and line dry it, glad that i found out about it cos it is less work than keep changing shavings and less messy too.

I've been using vetbed and fleece now for about a year. I dont tumble dry the fleece because of shrinkage but have tumbled dry the vetbed without any problem. Flintstones I'm curious, is there a specific reason why I shouldn't tumbledry?
