Washing new fleece

Hiya,

I have a quick question about preparing fleece before using it. I remember reading a thread, that I can't find now, that said to wash and dry three times before using. Does this have to be a full length wash with detergent for all 3 washes? Have my fleece ready for the machine but thought I'd check first.

I would wash preferably for three times with softener free detergent, yes. I would do one hot wash and a couple of quick cycles.

Please make sure that you never overload your machine or things will come out stinking worse than they have gone in - there is only so much water being used in a washing cycle.
