Any tips on getting hay out of fleece before washing it? My gps are really good at spreading hay all over their lovely fleece liners!

All you can do is shake it off and wash in a duvet cover to prevent hay blocking the washing machine.

I use the brush from my dustpan&brush set to remove it. Seems to work.

I brush mine with dust pan brush and shake and brush again. Found a soft brush works better then stiff for removing hay and hair.

I do brush and shake but there still seems to be lots of little bits stuck in the fleece....was hoping someone had an easier solution than picking bits out by hand! I will start washing in a duvet cover though in the interests of my washing machine!

I have a clothes brush that I only use for piggy fleece / fleecy beds. It works quite well as the bristles are harder than dustpan and brush sets.

Those Lint clothes rollers may also help to pull some of the tougher bits off.

I am going to invest in a bissel hand held pet vaccum (corded so no loss of suction) I will let you all know the results but they are supposed to work wonders according to wherever I read it (can remember now)

Great link, thanks. They're on Amazon for £34.99. Let me know how you get on with it if you buy one.

I will be getting one after pay day on 20th as piggies have cleaned me out this month :lol!:. ill keep u posted....
