Hi All,

I have a pair of boars, Sooty and Skeet whom I love to bits but are completely different.

I bought them 6 months ago and they seem to have reversed personalities. When I first got them Skeet was always the first to want to come out but I always alternated between who came out first so there was no favouritism. For the last few weeks Skeet who is by far the larger of the two is really really skittish and shy whilst Sooty wheeks away wanting to come out. I do get Skeet to come out eventually and once out he just chills out, enjoys being groomed and purrs away and seems very happy. If I talk to him he is fine but the second I try to stroke him he goes to hide, even through the bars.

They are both happy, always nose to tailing and curled up together but just wondering if this is normal.

Thanks,

Jon.

I have five guinea-pigs and in the pair I don't see the definate difference. However, with Mop and her cagemates this is very clear.
Mop is a very wary guinea-pig, her eyes are always huge and she is scared to go anywhere. Approach her and she will freeze. Billy and Muffin however are a lot more confident and Mop won't go anywhere without them.
Just think of it as though they were human personalities!
Billy is very cheeky and is always getting into trouble.
Muffin is very confident and likes to explore.
Mop is very nervous and shy.
Dusty is stupid, no offense to him but seriously?
Whizz is very loving.
They all have their own temperaments. I hope this has put your mind at rest.
