WARNING hay huts PLEASE READ

@Claire W has asked me to post this pic of Clover and Jezebel demonstrating a safer size of haycube for guinea pigs. They still need supervision with these until the holes are nibbled big enough they can get in and out easily, but they can fit an entire big piggy inside (supermodel Clover inside the cube is 1200g). This is the Rosewood large haycube advertised for rabbits. Personally I think a rabbit could get stuck in here just like that poor piggy was stuck in a hamster size version... but anyway! Remember anything labelled "small pet" might be too small for piggies because they aren't particulary small really...

Mine have them regularly but are never left unnatended with them in. Poor piggy x

I used to have one, but removed it as soon as my 1350g Podrick decided to wedge himself inside it. No thanks!

Mine have the large version but only during floor time when they are supervised. Although once they have made the holes larger even my chubby Mavis 1.3kg doesn't get stuck.

Aww. Good to know! I bought some hay houses for my piggies. They were different from these. They have really sharp pieces in them, so I didn't use them. I was afraid someone would get poked.

I have one LOL :lol!: not me because i wont get in it. But my piggies do and they Love it.
The one I get for them is LARGE and the holes each side is in a heart shape. ❤ so what I do is cut it to make the hole bigger. 20180914_065857.webpThe model is Heidi's butt.

Spike and Peanut like to remodel the large size until they fit comfortably! Once the hole is very big I line the bottom with a piece of puppy pad so the base doesn't get soggy if weed in. I stopped giving one to Rusty and Bracken because they make the sides very thin then try to sit on top which is far too dangerous.
