A distraught lady on a Facebook guinea pig group had to rush her piggy to the vets this morning after his head got stuck in a hay roller. He’d eaten the contents and managed to get his head stuck inside. Thankfully the vet managed to safely free the guinea pig who is now recovering at home after his ordeal.

I have given these to my gerbils in the past but they’re obviously smaller animals

I use this only for gerbils, no wonder the guinea pig got its head stuck, its sticky and narrow

My gerbils have one of these...all they did was chew it down from the bars and buried it in a corner  surely it's too full of seeds for piggies? Glad the ladies piggy is ok, that must have been quite a shock!

I can't believe they market them for rabbits and guinea pigs with all those seeds 😮 The piggy has apparently been quiet all day but has thankfully eaten his tea. It's a good job it didn't happen in the middle of the night when the owner was asleep :(
