The girls are in a run that has a fleece "floor" ( changed and laundered very frequently) Under the fleece is a PVC tablecloth and then laminate flooring . My query is ,as the weather gets colder should i place something between the floor and the PVC and if so what ? They are in a conservatory at present. If the weather does become very cold they will go caged indoors , certainly at night . They have tunnels and fleece snuggle sacks all the time

You might add a piece of correx like is used in C&C cage bases, as it has a corrugated structure it has air trapped inside that will insulate from a cold floor? Or a big sheet of polystyrene? Or even just a blanket under the fleece? Depends on how cold it gets really! If they are on fleece and have fleecy hideys they should be ok, as long as the air temperature can be kept above 15 degrees. Try to avoid any big fluctuations in temperature, such as bringing them straight from a cold conservatory into a very warm house, they are better living at a fairly constant temperature whether this is cooler (15-18 degrees) or warmer (20-24 degrees) rather than moving from one to the other.

One way to check is to stand on the floor of their run in bare feet.
If you feet don't feel cold after 10 minutes then they will be ok with things as they are.
If your feet start to feel cold then you might want to think about another insulating layer.
