Hi, I live in Twickenham, girl on her own and although I have made a huge space for Lacey she doesnt seem to want to use her current basic cage I got from Pets at Home, so I wondered if anyone was selling a C&C Cage, I cant make one as wouldnt know where to start and no good at that sort of thing anyway, I'm looking at getting Lacey a friend so would need to be big enough for 2/3 piggies.... ?/

C & C are really easy to do although I'd recommend cable ties as well as the connectors for stability. You can fit them into a space suited to you and be as adventurous as need be :))
The grids are fairly hard to find now, I paid £17 per pack for our piggies set up and used 5 packs in total rolleyes so still worked out cheaper than a cage and have a huge three storey, 12ft x 2.5ft build that houses 12 piggies :(|)
Amazon have them atm:

This website is great for anyone making their first C&C cage.

If you are going down the route of buying a premade one, be careful that it has enough floor space, ramps aren't too high or have holes at the top too big for guinea pigs to fall through as well as checking they will be easy for you to reach into for lifting out piggies and for cleaning. Alot of what's on sale out there isn't fit for purpose in my opinion.

Oh thank you, I have made her a big space already (see photo) so wondered if this was ok or if I should make a double level?

Looks good. :)

Upper levels, whilst nice when correctly done, aren't needed. What's important is the amount of ground floor space that the piggies have to do their zoomie laps in.

She certainly does do laps, she also has free space in the rest of the living room when I'm home and tends to go mad running round the back of the sofa, under the armchair and under the coffee table, I dont know where she gets her energy from. I'm also looking to home another piggy as company for her so hopefully this will be big enough for the two.

Looks like she has a fair amount of space.

I'm sure she would love a friend. Have you had a look at rescues near you?

I have the RSPCA doing a home visit tomorrow night, if all is ok with that then I can take Lacey to their centre for her to choose her own friend (she was seperated for fighting when I adopted her) but I want to see if she will be ok with another again as I work.

Its actualyl changed quite a bit and looks a lot better, will take an updated photo later, I hope it does pass, Lacey loves it and likes the freedom
