New Born Pup
Hi!
I have a male guinea pig that is a little over a month old.
This one has been expelling an almost transparent liquid through the mouth for a week approximately every 30 minutes.
He expels so much liquid through his mouth that his entire neck and belly get wet and it smells bad when it dries on his body.
The strange thing is that according to all the internet, guinea pigs do not vomit but I see that my guinea pig does, it stretches its neck when throwing out that liquid as if it were gagging.
I feel very bad for him. I had many guinea pigs and none of them got sick like that. And worse, where I live there are no exotic animal veterinarians.
These days I looked at his teeth and they are normal, they are NOT very long or crooked.
I also looked at the color of his urine and it is almost transparent with a yellowish green and white tone so it is normal, and the stools are normal "hard, brown and without worms".
He is very skinny I can even feel the bones in his back
and still eats but not as much "he only eats the most delicious parts of the barley fodder for him and very little alfalfa"
Today I gave him pressed guinea pig food so that my guinea pig's stomach does not fill with gas from eating little and I also gave him a little water with vitamin C with a syringe to see if he recovers since he is getting worse little by little every day.
Please help me save my guinea pig
