How many of you give your piggies vitamins in there water? Also where can you buy it from?

It's a complete waste of money and time putting Vitamins in piggy water bottles.

The vitamins can react with the metal in the spout and the daylight and they are too unstable to last for more than a few hours anyway. In addition it can affect the taste of the water which will reduce the piggy's water intake. Also as they need fresh water every single day whether the bottle looks as though it has been used or not so vitamins would need to be put in 7 days a week.

Save your pennies and buy some extra veggies instead. :) :) :) :) :)

Thanks for the reply :)they have loads of veg but thought they might need extra vitamins aswell. There just fussy beggers nemo would eat anything but these 2 are fussy on what they will eat

I got some free with a pets at home guinea pig starter pack when I have bought cages and hutches from there but I've never used them.:) There's usually vitamic c added to piggy food and with fresh fruit and veg they probably get enough.

There's no need to give vitamins to piggies as they should get everything they need from hay, dry food and fruit and veg. Plus I don't believe piggies should ever have anything added to their water because you don't know how much of it they are getting and it could even put them off drinking the water if it tastes bad.

I got the small bottle with my starter kit from Pets At Home and it goes in the food instead of the water. They eat lots of veg as well so they are getting plenty of vitamins. I don't do drops every day though, I tend to do them every 2-3 days.
