So I hope these help (other then being adorable LOL) but basically thought I'd share some videos of the behaviour I noticed from Mo when I introduced Steve. Of course I'm sure you will all note the size difference (Steve isn't that small anymore :( ) but you'll also see what many members and myself describe like rumbling, mounting etc. It does look scary especially with how small Steve is but no one was hurt. And both piggies are totally happy :)

Hope this helps and can put some of your minds at ease. In my case, this is two boars but I'm sure it wouldn't be too different from two sows or a boar/sow.
 
Hey, thanks for this - great timing. We literally just put both our boys back in their respective cages a few minutes ago after attempting to introduce them for the first time. Same situation, my Moose is about five and Buddy is a wee baby. The behaviour displayed was pretty much identical to that in your video - were you as anxious as I was? I was almost having a panic attack as it's been so long since I've tried this. Touch wood it's going to be fine, Moose was grooming Buddy's ears by the end of the session so hopeful that's a sign they'll get on at some point.

I've started following you on instagram btw, the videos wouldn't load on my browser for some reason. I think my wifi is goosed.

PS. I would love to have a guinea pig called Steve but it's my husband's name :( I might see if he's willing to change it.

Oh thank you for the follow- have I followed you back? And I'm glad the videos helped a little- yes I was going crazy lol. This is the very first time I've ever bonded guinea pigs so I was already stressing before I even put Steve in with Mo. I think the worst part was that every time Mo mounted Steve, Steve literally disappeared under Mo :lol!:

You must keep me updated on whether your husband decides to do that (haha)! My mum actually chose the name Steve and at first I was against it but it works :)
