My local vet (they are a general vet I see for anything that doesn't require an operation or specialist knowledge) has made this video to show the necessary changes that have been made in order to keep the clinic going as much as possible and to ensure that pets get any treatment they need. These measures follow the recommendations for UK veterinary clinics.
I hope that this can help those of you who are struggling at the moment with what to expect.
Any travel involving vet visits or medications pick-up counts as essential travel, by the way; even if it is over larger distances if you have an appointment/procedure with a special vet that has been deemed necessary by them.
Long term medications pick-up you may be able to arrange via a local clinic; the Cat&Rabbit (and most other clinics) are willing to email the file or prescription to a clinic closer to you that has agreed with providing this service for you.
Please keep your vets and the support staff in your thoughts and be appreciative of them. It is a VERY difficult time for them, too, and it takes a lot of courage every day!
