Vets recommendation Newbury, Berkshire

Hi all, picking up my first Guinea pigs in a few weeks and looking for a local vets to register with. I’m near Newbury, Berkshire. Have read I should find an exotics vet. Does anyone have any recommendations please?

I’m not from that area so can’t make any recommendations but I wanted to say that you do not need an exotic vet. A general vet with an interest and knowledge in piggies is what matters. An exotic may not have specific piggy knowledge even though they are an exotic specialist

Thanks, this is very helpful. I’ve contacted 2 practices, one of which says all their vets will see Guinea pigs. The other said 3 of their vets look after Guinea pigs/have exotics experience. I’m thinking of going with the second option? Sounds a bit more specific rather than saying all their vets see Guinea pigs?
