I'm seriously considering changing from woodchips to vetbed.my old piggy has just turned 7 ,still fit & healthy but I would like him to have a bit more comfort as he spends quite a lot of his day "in bed" so to speak. he lives outside with one other as we don't have room to bring them indoors, I'm just having trouble getting my head round using it. at the moment he likes to make a nest in the hay in the bedroom & be partly covered up by it. with vetbed the hay would have to be just in the main part of hutch ,wouldn't it? would I just need to put some pigloos in the bedroom bit to hide in, or just have the vetbed down? sorry if I'm being/sounding thick!

You could keep the hay in his bedroom area so that it is the same as it is at the moment and then use vet bed in the main part of the hutch. That way his bedroom area stays as he likes it and he has somewhere cosy to sleep at night.

Now why didn't I think of that?! That's a good idea :-) I gave them a fleece to try in their run & both boys seemed to enjoy it,seemed more relaxed & were stretched right out sleeping.
