If you were to take only some of your guinea pigs to get checked out, since only one or two of them are having an issue, would you have to take your entire group to the vet or could the other one be left at home? Will leaving that one at home cause them to have to arrange their hierarchy again?

We usually take ours in pairs, its good for them to have a friend at the vets for moral support, and if you had 3 I imagine you might take them all to avoid one being home alone and anxious- but with a group of 6 we always take a pair (or 2 pairs for nail trims) so no pig is ever left alone. Separations of a few of hours are usually fine if the returning piggies come home accompanied by a nice unexpected bonus veggie snack reward for everypig to share!

I don’t know the right answer to this. But I took one of mine to the vets tonight and brought her cage-mate along for moral support 
The vet didn’t seem to think it was particularly odd?
I’m not sure how much my healthy guinea pig appreciated the unnecessary trip out - but she took one for the team
I guess my situation is easier though as I only have 2. Bit different if you have a herd! X
