Hi could anyone recommend a good guinea pig vet in Lincolnshire, I can only find 2 exotic vets listed, The one in Bourne is not taking on new patients and the one in Louth I have had 2 bad experiences with so will not be returning there. Thank you

Hi there I'm in Grimsby and I know two. We go to Eastfield veterinary clinic Grimsby and the other I know of is St James Veterinary clinic in Louth x

Hi, thank you very much for the info, I will look into the Grimbsy one. I have been to st James vets in Louth and both times i had very bad experiences and would not trust them with any of my animals again. Thanks again xx

I'm in a different bit of the country but I will say it took a few goes to find a practice I was comfortable with. I found one where some of the vets actually keep piggies themselves. But I think it's quite valid to ask the receptionist whether there are any of the vets there that are 'good' with piggies - if there are they'll usually say "oh, such-and-such!" straight away rather than mulling it over! I don't dismiss younger vets either - some of our most challenging problems have been spotted by a young vet fresh from training. My practice has a good mix. We've got a new one this afternoon - Flora's honky breathing - so far my cheapest pig (she wasn't even registered as it turns out!) Let's keep it that way Flora!
