I've read on a few posts that some of you use vet beds for the linings of your cages? (Is that right?)

My girls are getting a little bit snuffly so I want to move them across to a newspaper/hay/fleece set up, but are vet beds similar?

I went into a few local pet shops and when I asked about vet beds I got shown to a dog bed with a waterproof bottom?! I didn't buy one as I was unsure if this is what I need.

I did a search on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=vet+bed&_sacat=0&_from=R40

Is that what i'm after? any help would be greatly received, i'm a bit of a novice with this sort of thing rolleyes

we tried several different and think that one with green base is optimal for cleaning.(can be white top or green top)
Like this one - but we bought 6m length.

I collect dropping twice a day and shake to rid of hay and hand wash in kitchen sink and put in washing machine every 4 days (depends of smell) with non bio liquid for babies for 60 degrees.Have spare sett to replace while drying one.

I've never used vet bes, I've used wood shavings and fleece but I've heard great things about vet bed!:))
