Good afternoon,

Apologies if this has been asked before I have done a quick search but couldn't find anything relevant.

Hopefully, I shall be getting my new pigs today (fingers crossed) and have the cage all ready.

I have decided to give vet bed a go as I believe this is what the guinea's are already used to at the rescue center.

I have got plenty of newspaper underneath and was wondering if I need to have anything else under the vet bed for it to work better?

I am sure I have everything ready, but I want to make it as easy for the pigs to settle in as I can.

Thanks

I have newspaper, then fleece, then vetbed but that's just how it is laid out in the cage. I don't think it is neccesary. The newspaper should be fine.

Good luck today, don't forget our pictures :))

Newspaper is fine but I use a little baby changing mat under the hay baskets as well to protect the base of the pens.
Have been looking at some more vet bed today in Christmas colours, red and green and am sooo tempted as it would look lovely against the white I have for their Grotto Theme pens I'm planning...rolleyes

Will pop some pics on, hoping to get them done for next week :)) Just struggling to find something Christmassy for them to sleep on so thought of red/green fleece or vet bed ?/ Vet bed is a bit pricey for what I need it for tbh so think fleeces may be on the shopping list :))
