I've just recently bought some vet bet to keep my babies nice n cosy warm over the winter. I'm just a bit worried about the fibres though, *** the strands seem really long n fluffy. Do I need to worry about them chewing on it and choking or something? Sorry if this seems like a silly question, its just I've always used woodshavings before so it seems a bit stange using something different!

I use it a lot now as well as fleece. But no I havnt had any problem with the piggies nibbling it.

I had 2 foster pigs that was used to shavings in their previous home, and it was comical watching them stand on it the first time :)) First they stood really still, then they moved their legs and started walking really slowly. One of them had a nibble, decided it didnt taste like food and then loved the comfiness of it. :)

Give it a wash first, you'll find the fibres clump together more, and dont use fabric conditioner.

When mine was new i wore a rubber glove and swept over it pulling off the fluff...when i washed it it was all gone ...my 2 have never chewed it.

It really is great stuff and keeps piggy bums dry..my 2 love it and get all cosy :)
