Hello everyone

After a recent incident with hay poke and lots of money spent at the vets (eye saved, piggie much better thankfully) I am looking into new bedding options. They currently have hay as the main bedding. However, I'm looking into be possibility of Vet bed as I've heard it's really asborbant, and having their hay in a separate area (although I know they will still snuggle in it I'm sure 😂).
My girls live to chew everything and I have concerns that they will eat the vet bed. Will it harm them? Thanks x

I use vet bed and will never use any other bedding, it is thick and nice and soft for piggy paws; it’s also extremely absorbent and always stays dry. I used to put puppy pads underneath my vet bed but my pigs would dig up the vet bed and eat the puppy pads so I switched to towels underneath. Curiously enough, my pigs will chew on near enough anything but have left the vet bed well alone.

Fantastic for their bedding area. I put a layer of newspaper underneath. It keeps really dry for them to lay out on. Nightmare to get hay out of. I brush it outside with a stiff hair brush, definitely worth the effort though.
