Hi ppl I set up one of my c&c cages over weekend I'm using a large piece of vet bed that covers the hole of the base I using pampers bed mats underneath that and just layed towel under bed mats to stop them slipping will piggies stay dry on the vet bed it very thick vet bed off I did try putting fleece on top of vet bed but it wouldn't lay how I wanted it to how fustrating . Also could someone tell me where I can order 4x 2 correx already scored etc

Did you wash and dry the vetbed three times before use? This has to be done to make it wick away water. I just use a layer of towels under my vetbed which is fine. Do not forget to change it every three days and remove poops two to three times a day.

Don't put anything on top of the vetbed. When piggy pees on top of the vetbed, it is meant to be wicked through to whatever absorbent material is under the vetbed. Your under materials are fine, I use washable waterproof mattress protectors myself to abosrb & keep the bottom of the cage dry but have successfully used just towels as well. I didn't have to do anything to prepare my vetbed, because unlike fleece, it should come ready to wick. I only have 2 boy piggies, so find daily poop pickups & weekly wash of vetbed & mattress protector is all that is needed to keep piggies dry & cage non-stinky.

How odd! It did not work for me.
That is weird because it worked for me without any pre-washing. I order mine online from a supplier in the state of Victoria but is it my understanding he gets it from the UK. In any case, pre-washing it isn't going to harm it!

Mine worked fine from beginning too without prewash. Mine was vetbed brand vetbed rather than other brand it could make the difference
