Hello everyone!
Can you use vet bed as bedding? Is it absorbent? If anyone uses it, is it good?
Thank you :) x

Vet bed isn't absorbent you would have to put something underneath it like puppy pads or towels. I use it cut into little bits like beds for them to lye on. I used to put it in Fudges cosy as he peed in his bed and the moisture just goes through vet bed leaving the surface dry.

Thanks. I'm going to order liners from ziggys piggies because I think they are absorbent. x

We use vet bed with puppy pads underneath and it works a treat!
It stays nice and dry on the top and the puppy pads absorb any wee so we change those regularly.
We have wash and wear vet beds too so we can change them regularly as well :)
It's ideal for pigs with respiratory problems!

I use Vet Fleece (same thing really but from what I've seen, cheaper) and it's not absorbent, the point of is to allow urine to wick through to something absorbent underneath. I use disposable incontinence pads, washable ones or towels underneath, then wash the Vet Fleece every 4 days at 60 degrees. I use a horse bad to wash it in to protect my machine from hay. Here's Clove modelling some, its very thick with a green backing.

That's such a cute photo! x

Never mind. Thanks for all of your suggestions but I'm going to order from ziggys piggies because it is absorbent in itself and will therefore potentially be cheaper because I won't need to use the puppy pads underneath, just newspaper in toilet areas (they won't be able to get to it). Thank you for all of the help and that cute photo though! x
