Hiya, just been trialling vetbed. Have a mid grey colour piece with green backing. Washed at 40 degrees with Ariel, but still has some white splodges (probs from our boy) and slightly brown stained area from pellet dust. Am really surprised as our fleeces wash fine, even if they go in a washbag. (which the vetbed didn't). Am I missing something?
Thanks

I wash mine at 60 in a pet wash bag. I've never had a problem, maybe try washing it through again.

Ok will do. On eBay they say mostly wash at 40, occasional 60 so I hedged my bets. Do you put your detergent in your wash bag ie tablet?

We actually wash our fleeces and vet bed at 90 with a sport intensive using Fairy non-bio and dont have any problems

Thank you... Me being a bit dim tho , what do you mean by 'sport intensive'? Does that refer to wash program or detergent?

I use 40 degrees and a scoop of oxy-powder. Perhaps yours just needs a more intense wash-cycle?

:DSome people use white vinegar in their wash. I use Dettol Laundry cleanser, either at 40 degrees or 60. You could run the Vetbed under a hot shower first to get the worst of the stains out. I use any old detergent, as it is the water temperature that does the cleaning more than the detergent.
