Versele Laga Delivery

Just taken delivery of my first bags of Versele Laga Cavia Complete for my 17 month old (ish) girls. I just bought a small bag as although they *loved* them when we had a little trial(thank you again SwissGreys), it would follow that they hate them as soon as I buy an 8kg bag!
Out of curiosity I measured out the 'recommend' amount (the lowest amount on the scale as they're such small pigs) and it looks like loads! I can't believe they'd each eat 35g a day let alone the highest amount of 59g! We'll see - I put 35g in this afternoon, split between their four bowls and will see which goes first these or their burgess pellets!

Please keep us posted on how they go down. Its a very good food brand but much like marmite. None of my pigs will eat it.

Fingers crossed they keep eating them, and it wasn't just the novelty.
And whilst the recommended amount does look like loads, it is quite a 'light' food when compared to some of the denser pellets around.
Rest assured that my lot easily polish of the daily amount and according to them there is always room for more

I still have some Burgess and some Pets at Home nuggets left so at the moment their getting all three until the others run out. PatH nuggets always get eaten before Burgess

So far, one of the mixed pellet bowls definitely had fewer VL pellets in it and the bowl with only VL pellets was empty! They have been favouring that bowl position recently though. Have put another little handful in with their bedtime veg.
