Went out for dinner with 30 veggies/vegans from the Birmingham vege group last night[:)] Ate so much nice food!

My food was: polenta terrine slice to start, toad in the hole with leek and hazlenut sos and gravy to follow with garlic roast pots, stir fried sprouts, maple roasted carrotts and parsnips and stuffing, followed by sugar free christmas pud and soya cream!

Met a lot of new people too which was nice[:)]

Not sorted photos yet but will do laters.....

How do you have toad in the hole without sausages? wouldn't that just be yorkshire pudding?

She said 'with leek and hazlenut sos' :P

It was nice to have yorkshire pud again! really nice and crunchy edged with 2 leek and nut sausages :)

I'm still full now ;)

It was! there were also nut free and wheat free vegan options! am impressive menu :)

our meal last night was lovley too, I had stilton and broccoli soup with Veggie wellington and new pots and veggie followed by choc gateax with cream

mmmm that sounds lovely I am a vegetarian and its making my stomach rumble.....

We had our Xmas lunch yesterday. Very nice but massive portions. I am only tiny so it was quite daunting! I had vegetarian crumble which was in a HUGE bowl - brimming, and all the trimmings round it. I counted, wait for it, at least 22 sprouts (small, mind) on my plate. 22! Anyway, has anyone seen that Vicar of Dibley episode where she forces herself to eat 3 meals? I felt like that. But waste not want not - everyone else left loads too so I asked if they'd put all the leftover meat & sausage in a box for me to take home for my dogs (we're both veggie so treats like this are REALLY appreciated!) and the rest of my crumble in another box & hubby had it for dinner! (saved me cooking for him!)
