Variegated mint- is it still edible?

Hi any help would be much appreciated.
We picked up a mint the other day and on the label it says variegated mint. I was wondering if I was able to still feed it to the guinea pigs.
I can post a picture if that would help.

My piggies have had various types of mint without harm. Unless anyone knows any different, I would assume as long as they are the same species of plant they should be ok. However, I am not a plant expert.
