what do you buy your partner for valentines day?

I have been very uncreative this year and got him a card, some new underwear for me (yep thats a present for him aswell, or isnt it? ::)), and I want to get him some chocolates. Not buying anything fancy as its his birthday three days later anyway.

Nothing at all .... maybe a chinese :)

Everyday is Valentines day for me anyway

I am lucky enough to get presents all year round and I get told that I am loved more than once a day.
I realise how fortunate I am - thats why I'm not letting him go!

Chinese take away. Got him a card, will go looking in tesco tomorrow morn and see what i can find for him. Not a lot this year as we totally skint.

He tells me how much he loves me on a daily basis too - and yet Id like a valentines present.
its like, I know my family appreciates the fact I was born - I still want birthday prezzies! (want want want!)

LOL chinese too and maybe a little pressie!

Going out for the day too (hopefully) with 2 nephews!

I get enough presents tbh

Andy buys and sells a lot on Ebay so he is always snapping up stuff for me that he sees.
We both collect things so he gets me new additons :)

I loathe Valentines Day ;D Hubby and I swore we would never indulge in it (that was before we 'surprised' each other with gifts for the 1st few years we were married lol) LIke Mother's Day, Father's Day, Grandparent's day yawwwn just a big marketing con (yeh, I know, I'm a miserable so and so ;))
I did get 2 'Valentine Cards' from the Dogs Trust for my 'adopted' dogs though very sweet!

:)

Last year I got a valentine form my guineas.

This year they got a valentine from some other guineas :)

Apart from guinea-related valentines I don't like it at all as it is just a commercial con designed to make lots of us feel crap.

we just swop cards it is a con but its also nice to have it in writing that you are loved, mind you we do tell each other every day that we do love each other not bad for nearly 29 years, plus its my birthday on 5th then mothers day and we will be away on that day so am more then delighted with a card, its the words that mean more to me then anything else, I'm just an old romantic, think number 3 son ( yes Bev Liam) will be getting them fall through the door which will get his girlfriend annoyed but we keep getting little notes from girls for Liam he is cute but with a bad attitude,

i spend it with my mum lol neither of us ever have dates so why be lonely when we can spend it together... i cant bu anything i am saving up for possible emergency vet bills lol just incase ;D

We just have a Chinese and a bottle of wine. Don't bother with cards.

Every day is a day of love. So my OH tells me anyway ;D

He doesn't buy me flowers either - he says 'Flowers are a symbol of love, and unlike our love, the flowers die'. ;D

He has lots more anecdotes - my assistant at work (a young lad) thinks his sayings are superb. He uses them aswell ;D

He is not the romantic type, but he loves me and makes me laugh - what more could I ask for. I love him loads. Life makes sense with him.

I know, I am a soppy so and so. :D

clowny you know that is so nice...... to be loved and to know it and feel it is the best present in the world ;) you hold on to that and enjoy every single moment.

not sure what i think of valentines aymore, not being a misery guts :( divorced and now being alot older think mayb i just don't have the magic in me anymore.

yep i will send my partner a card and get him a pressie.

think i must be on a low day to day >:( mayb my partner will make me feel like clowny :) don't get me wrong he is a good guy, not romantic tho, i just have a problem in accepting love or is it trusting people ;)

mayb this year i will regain that magic, after all he wants me to move in with him......... but he has to build the piggies conservatory first ;)

I'm not sure what we're doing - it may sound weird but my dad loves family and loves us all being together so we tend to go out as a family! Its ace - having everyone we love around us :)

Me and Steve get each other cards and a little something, but he knows how much I love him and I know how much he loves me :) He always gets me some lovely flowers as well - but this Wednesday we'll probably be out in a party of 6! romantic eh? hahaha

Trace x

I'm totally broke, so i shall be just be buying a really slushy card.... :)

I might cook a nice dinner and then take him upstairs and take advantage of him.... ;) ....thats if the kids go to sleep!

That sort of thing has become a nightmare now the kids have got older.....two nights ago my 10 year old asked me if i was ok...he thought i was being sick! ;D

if i had some money i would take him for a meal in a limo

I think me and Matt are going out for a meal.

I always get him a sloshy card too :)

My boys had a card today from the other *ahem* 'boys' and Lucinda! LOL In a bright blooming pink envelope! >:( >:(

Tonni wants to eat it! :D :D

We don't really bother with it - mutual agreement. Sometimes I put chocolates in his packed lunch.

About 3 years ago he wrote 'I love you' on a small blackboard memo board we've got in the kitchen (I didn't see it for ages though and he had to point it out!) and it's still there - I can't bear to rub it off.

I have brought him a Jumper ;D we do not normally bother we tell each other we love each other every night before we go to sleep. Only got him something to wear because my Dad is getting married on Wednesday cheesy wedding date ;D.
Its my birthday tomorrow and he got me some nice new bras ;D I choose them ;) and I have a surprise from the children to open :)

I am going out with my gay friend on Valentines ;D

I sent him a Valentine in the end as he is my best and oldest friend, and has looked after me so well over the years.

Andy, I love you - but not like that ;D

Just doing a card we are a bit skint at the moment but he knows i love him heaps, well most of the time nah that's unfair i love him always :-* :-* we've known each other now for over 25 years (gosh that's a life sentence in jail ;D ;D ;D )

i aint got no valentine  :'(
i no a couple of guyz who fancy me but wooh back off! I'm just 13  ;D

[though chocolates do sound very very nice]

aww dont worry i dont have a valentine either lol... i made a deal with my friends that we were all going to be valentines :P lol

We had a bit of a premature Valentines this year as we are both out doing stuff on Weds night. So we went out for a meal on Sunday instead in a really quaint old pub. It was very nice but I ended up a bit tipsy as hadn't eaten much else during the day haha! I think I shall cook one of our favourite meals tonight and then make a card for him for tomorrow.

we've actually got 2 of our nephews for the day tomorrow! ;)

Cinema to watch a funny kiddies film, probably daft at that, then off to pizza hut or maccy d's! :D

no doubt the postman will be breaking his back carrying all my valentines cards tomorrow..... NOT! ;D
