I swear its all I do, I vacuum the floor and 20 mins later there is hay everywhere! its like the girls just throw it out their cage and laugh at me! I vacuum everyday! and bare in mind our vacuum is not light so I have to carry it up and down the stairs everyday, I'm surprised I dont have biceps yet..
id use the hand held vacuum but it hardly picks up a thing :mal: anyone else feel like this?

Yep , mine are so happy whenever I refresh their hay that they just decide to throw it all out ....
So yes , that and poo picking !
luckily most the poo stays in the cage but that pesky hay gets on my nerves! perks of having fur babies I guess!

The house where I live currently has some spacing in between the wooden floor boards, as you can imagine between their running and the cleaning , at the end of the day there's always quite a collection of hay poo wedged in between .... the joy!

Imagine the poo that gets thru the gaps, if anyone ever takes those floorboards up after you move thry might think there is an infestation :yikes::lol!:

Lol hahahahaha !
They'd be on the phone to pest control in no time !

Luckily I'm able to hoover it out!

Oh yes, I know that feeling! I have 2 dustpan and brushes in the pig room for quick clear ups (instead of getting the hoover out all the time). Mr Rochester, the pig in my avatar, tries to fight the brush, for some reason!

archie sheds so much fur, luckily not much hay.

it happen to me just today! I wanted to catch a piece of poo which was going through the gaps of the skirting board and... the poo passed through it...
who cares?:lol!:

I love vacuuming. I do it about 4 times a day anyway as we have dogs and cats and I hate seeing pet hair all over the rugs. I love seeing it all disappear up the hoover and the rugs are all clean and perfect again. I'm a bit strange, I know.

My lot don't get any hay out the cages. I think the hay bags and litter trays help. The only time there is hay on the floor is when i top up the hay bags, I get it everywhere.
