Vacuum suggestions?

Is this vacuum to clean your floor or to clean your piggies' cage? I use this one for cleaning my piggies' cages. It's great! I asked for it two Christmas's ago and it is still going strong.

I can't give any advice on floor vacuums for hay as my house has tile where I keep the guinea pigs. Hopefully someone else will have some other suggestions.

Our current one is a Dyson. A few models behind otherwise we couldn’t have afforded it.. but it’s been the best so far because of the hepa filter.

We had a vax previously, a henry hoover, and another which I can’t remember the brand of. They were all ok/good but the Dyson is a lot better.

For the cage, we tried a wet and dry handheld one but it wasn’t very good. Not helpful but I really can’t remember the brand!

For the floor, I always recommend our Henry Hoover. It's a decent all-rounder at a decent price point and handles our hair, fur, and hay with ease. They're solid and intuitive to use in my experience - the only downside for me is that the bags aren't reusable, although they do last a good while.

I tried a different brand when we first got our own place and had to leave our landlord's Henry behind, but it just wasn't as good and in the end we gave up and bought our own Henry. We went for the pet version as it came with an attachment for fur, but this attachment hates hay so I'll usually do a hay-pass of the living room before going after the dog hair :))

Hi! Looking to replace a vacuum. What brands/models do you recommend? Wanna get something that won’t get destroyed by hay so quickly!
Thanks everyone! We recently upgraded our cage to a C&C one with a lid to keep out our cat. It even has a loft! The floor of that is a plastic-type material, so I use a small animal cage cleaner and a wet/dry mop to clean it. But unfortunately the majority of our floors are carpet, and as I’m sure we all know, hay gets everywhere. We usually use a vacuum/broom combo (like what they use in restaurants) to get surface stuff, but still hay gets clogged in the vacuum. Thanks for all the suggestions (and for keeping price in mind!) couldn’t make it through piggy parenthood without you guys!❤️🐹🐹🐹

I have a Shark vacuum cleaner. I went for the Cordless version. It's very good . The only downside is it has a very small collection bin but it's quick and easy to empty. I like it because it can be either a floor or a hand held vacuum cleaner.

i use a karcha wd2 wet and dry hoover, cost £50.00,It is a wet and dry hoover.it picks hay up without any problems .this hoover can be used in the garden as well.it is the best hoover i have had, beats any expensive indoor hoover.

I also use a shark vacuum, which is cordless and can be hand held or floor vacuum length. It has plenty of attachments which I find is better for those niggly bits of hay that need to be picked up. The reason I love this hoover is because it completely breaks down, so IF there is a a blockage, it's easy to get to and easily fixed. The whole inside piping is completely accessible because of how handy it is to take apart, so much easier to maintain the life of the hoover aswell. Another good bonus is the charge lasts for ages aswell, and it's nice and lightweight.

The only downside is the small bin but again this is very easily emptied.

We got one of the anti hair wrap hoover, because my long hair and the piggies hay, completely stopped my last hoover from being able to function!
