my youngest sow, Sparkle didn't want to be followed into a hidey and she squirted urine in Bess's face . I assume this is normal behaviour for guinea pigs ....

Sow spraying means very literally "p*ss off!" My neutered boars have learned that they sniff at female bums at their own risk and better be prepared to jump back at any moment! Sows can also do it to each other.


Boars spray sows with their testosterone laden pee to mark them as theirs against any rivals, especially during a takeover.


Piggy life can be quite a pee fest...

My girls do this too! It's quite funny to watch Daisy reverse as fast as she can to avoid Maple's spray! Haha
