Do you need to do anything to them?
I'm going to remove the window, and put mesh in, and line the walls with cavity wall insulation (the solid silver stuff, dont know what its called, cos i know its safe to use)
Just thinking of using sheds for the piggies and guineas... Thanks

I've got a sliding window on my shed - we removed the pane of glass and put a grove in. This way it's completely open in summer but closed in winter. I also have the door open most of the spring / summer and am getting a mesh door made to put across it. Ventilation is really really important - need to make sure enough air is circulating. It can get really hot in there, even with the door and window open, so I have a fan.

Thanks, I was thinking I could make the door like a stable door too, so that on hot days the top could be left open, to allow the air in on hot days..
I'm going to have no garden left at this rate! lol..
Just concerned Laras hutch is going to be far too small when the baby bunnies are out the nest, and was something I was planning on getting built later in the summer anyway.. just have to make it sooner rather than later now x

My shed has 2 stable doors & 3 windows, all are meshed then have green netting up at them to stop the flies & plastic sheeting which i lift up in summer & pin down in winter. Have to add my OH built my shed which is why it has 2 doors & 3 windows :)

Whichever you prefer. I have hutches but i know others who have indoor cages & C & C cages :)

i was hoping to fit the hutches in, but they are literally 2mm too big!
the shed I'm hoping to get done at the weekend, so if i can somehow get hutches in, will do that, otherwise will have a go at making something.. have 2 indoor cages that will do for now temporarily..I'm quite excited! x (simple things and all that lol)

Could you plane off the 2mm? Hark at me! LOL That's what living with a joiner does to you :(|):(|)

Just posted this on the other shed thread too, but just in case:

Here's mine:

Hope that helps

i did a joinery course at college but the measuring is my downfall hehe.. i think its the roof which is the overhang in which case could just come off as i wont need it.. hoping so.. just depends if the measurements are correct to the mm when i get the shed put together.. hoping so.. thanks! x

The shed is 8' x 6', (not big enough!), I use Megazorb and hay for bedding.

The hutch block is by 'Punchard' I'm not sure if they still make them, but there are similar ones around. It's great because each level can be 3 small unit, split, or you can take the dividers out to make 2 or just 1 big one!
