I've recently got two lovely female guinea pigs from a rescue. I have been keeping them outside in a hutch using newspaper, plus Back 2 Nature and Megazorb as bedding which I am very happy with. However I really wanted them to be indoor pigs so I've just bought a Ferplast 120 from a local rescue and am bringing them inside tonight, hurray! When I bought the cage the woman at the rescue suggested I could just line the cage with newspaper then change it twice daily - she thought it would be easier and cleaner than using additional bedding. I'm worried it would get too wet but was thinking about using a layer of newspaper, then a thin layer of Back 2 Nature for absorbency then another layer of newspaper on top which I could change twice a day. Would this work or would be too hard on their feet/too wet? If that doesn't work I'll probably use the Megazorb inside but I thought the newspaper might be less messy.

Newspaper on its own it not absorbant. you could use layer of newsoaper with hay ontop if you want though.

Other beddings you could try would be aubiose (which I like) finacard, fitch and plenty more.

I feel megazorb is a bit too dusty personally but you could use it up then move onto something else if you have some left?
