Is this better do you think?

I have bought 2 bags of it today as I feel woodshavings are messy and gets dirty quicker, plus I also think they would be more pleasing to the eye!

What are your views on it? Do you have to change it as often?

Ive not used the wood pellets so cannot comment on them. But depending on the number of guinea pigs you have and how often you clean the cage you might find them a bit expensive. I use Easibed which is wood based and has a natural piney smell. Works out about £7.60 for a huge bale about 25 kgs. I have 3 cages on the go at the moment and it lasts me ages.:)

My concerns with these pellets would be how they are affected by urine. I know they're not recommended for rats as they give off a strong pine smell when wet which can cause resp infections.

I'd also be concerned they'd turn to mush when wet but i've never used them so can't comment & are they not hard for a piggy to be walking on all the time, i wonder about the effects on their feet unless of course you are topping with a layer of hay to soften.

they go big and wet and squishy at the slightest moistere- not pleasant and they are hard so not to nice on feet i once used then in a corner pan:):{

You may be able to take them back and swap them if you've been put off. I've never used them myself. I beg newspapers off neighbours and friends and use them with hay.
