I tried to make a liner with fleece-towel-fleece... well the size ended up really wrong so Now using as lap blankets.

Instead is making layered liners, can I put down unseen layers... like a towels, then newspapers and then just fleece laid on top?

I'm also worried about the girls burrowing under the fleece, how can I stop it before it possibly starts?

Sorry for the questions but I'm a new piggy owner and do not want to use the wood shavings

:wel:

I tried towels as an absorbent layer but found it a pain as it seemed to hold the wetness near to the fleece and was a pain to wash and dry.
People on here recommended using a mattress protector, the ones with 100% cotton covering (ebay was the cheapest I found) It is so much better as it wicks the wetness away and is so light and easy to dry.

I've seen bulldog clips used to hold fleece down, if you have a Tiger shop near you, they are really cheap and you can get small coloured ones.( never read any problems with safety)
If you are on pinterest there are lots of ideas on there or just a google search.
