Hi, I got some second hand fleece items that have been in the use of some other guinea pigs. Can I use them if I just wash with vinegar or will my two boys get disturbed if they smell the other pigs or if theres hair from them?

Hi, I got some second hand fleece items that have been in the use of some other guinea pigs. Can I use them if I just wash with vinegar or will my two boys get disturbed if they smell the other pigs or if theres hair from them?

I would give them a wash with vinegar and then a plain wash afterwards. Two washes will hopefully do the trick. Teenagers are usually most affected; especially when you switch from sows to boars.

If needed, give the boys a little rub down with the new fleece before placing it in their cage.
