It's apparently -2 outside, the heating clicked off an hour ago and it's already hovering dangerously close to less than 17° upstairs. I went outside to put a can in the recycling and I swear I could feel it in my jaw. MY JAW. :td:

Was super chilly here this morning, I was up before 5am for work. Brrrrr. No idea what the actual temp was! Then had a walk in the woods later, that was bitter too despite the sun being out.
Stay warm Lorcan.

I'm near London and it's -2 here as well. My bathroom has 3 outside walls and is FREEZING 🥶

The one downside to having a bathroom without a window...all I've got to worry about is the extractor fan, lol.

Upstairs is warm enough. Heating on for an hour, heating off for an hour, and so on. No point in trying to stay downstairs, I could just drink Coke straight from the cupboard at the moment lol, don't even really need the fridge running. Air temp's apparently -3 outside, it's about 17.5° upstairs at the moment. I might take the thermometer downstairs to see where it lands actually. There's a thought.

Edit: Update - it's still dropping so I've left it downstairs for the time being (I can read it from the stairs). Bearing in mind it was 17.5° upstairs, it was 15.8° 15.4° when I checked from the stairs. And still dropping.

This is what it is here at the moment. I still have to put out the recycling bins for collection tomorrow and I'm already dreading going out again. I've taken out my fleece pyjamas to wear tonight. I've put it away a few weeks ago when it started getting a bit warmer just before Christmas! 😔🥶

Is it snowing in England at all? (very general statement, I know :)))

I think its -3 here in NE Scotland right now and we have at least 4 inches of snow! (I don't actually know the measurement, but I have long wellies that come up under my knees and in the worst parts they were almost buried). Roads are a nightmare, I have been in all day and the amount of vans that have had to reverse down the hill on my street as it is very steep. I found it quite amusing (considering everyone was safe and there was not much skidding going on) until we had a last minute appointment booked at the vets and my mums car, which I am learning to drive in, was skidding all over the place!

Hope everyone and their piggies are staying warm :luv:

No sign of snow so far here at least. We're under a Yellow warning for snow and ice apparently and I can well believe it on the ice front.

No snow expected here but it's very cold - minus 3C tonight they're saying.
I volunteer in a charity shop on Mondays and when I got there this morning it was freezing! We put all the heaters on but with people coming in and out all day it warmed up a bit but not much. When I went into the back room to have my lunch the thermometer said 12.5C 😱
Thankfully I'm able to keep it warm enough at home.

It's just the getting in! I always liked a cool bedroom but since "a certain age" I need it cold with fans on! 🥶

When I was in hospital the consultant came to see me in my room and at one point he stopped and asked me if I was aware of how cold it was. It was hard to hide the snark behind the reply - "The windows are both open as wide as possible in the middle of November and I've had the heating for the room switched off. Why would I be expecting it to be warm in here?" If you're in bed, a cold bed's easier to warm up than a too warm bed is to cool.
