Hey everyone,
I've had a lot of guinea pigs over the years, and I have been peed on a LOT. My new guinea pig, a young male (named Captain Acab, so handsome, says hello), has been peeing on me during floor time. He'll be playing or sitting by himself, then suddenly run over to me, press his butt against me, pee, then run away. Does anyone else's pig do this? Does anyone know what it means?

He's probably scent marking you as his territory! :)

Boars pee on sows to mark them as theirs whereas sows target pee at boars being a pest through sniffing at their bum. We tend to massively underestimate the role scent and pheromones play because it is one of our weaker senses.
