Hello guys!
I have a problem. My baby guinea pig (one and a half months old) has been making crackling noises. I can sometimes hear them, but usually I only hear it when listening to his tummy area. He got one week of antibiotics (enrofloxacin). Vet gave him that over the phone because of the corona, at the time we couldn't go to get it checked out. After that course of antibiotics I could still hear the crackling, but vet said his lungs are clear. Am I hearing his lungs or something else? His behaviour is normal, he eats, drinks and he has gained 40 grams since the start of this. His nose is not runny, his eyes are clear and he has no other signs of URI. I am going crazy and need advice!

You will always be able to hear digestive noises from their gut. Maybe that is what you were hearing
I didn't know that. I'm a new owner and it was looking quite scary. Looking at this whole situation that way I think this is possible. I was going insane because he was fine, but I kept hearing this. Thank you very much!

Any more questions, then do ask, we were all new owners once and had the same concerns!
We have a lot of helpful guides in our new owner section which may be useful to you. You can also post in our introductions section - we’d love to hear more about your piggies!
