It seems we had a resident slug in squeak's hutch 8... ?/ I've had to clean the food bowl out (where its been helping its self to dinner!) :)>>> replace the bedding and scrub off all the slug trails! Disgusting! I've now realised the slug/s are living on the hutch cover (tarpaulin) so I've chucked that away and the slugs and moved the hutch to a different area of the garden! Squeak doesn't seem bothered by the whole ordeal! Now I need to buy some new tarpaulin mallethead

Unfortunately if piggyz are kept outside slugs will be attracted to the smell.. just mke sure * keep an eye out for future slugs in the cage as this can becoms extremely dangerous to the piggys. Regular clean outs and scrub downs with special cage disinfectant should keep them away.

I wondered if anyone else had this problem. My piggies are indoor ones but I like to put them out in the day if its nice but even if I have cleaned the outdoor cage that day the next morning there are slug trails all in it and I have to do it all over again. I have tried slug tape but this didn't work. Any ideas on how to stop this would be gratefully received.

Maybe the slugs are attracted to the tarpaulin or the wood :/
* cd try that insect powder gardeners use to protect there veg.. I belive * sprinkle it around the area so they cannot get in as they wont dear go near the stuff
