Urgent Swollen Penis

Checked my year old Dave today and saw his penis was really swollen with the two horns. Is going to the vets tomorrow but need help on what it is. Doesn't seem painful since I can touch it without him squeaking. I don't know if he is peeing and pooping. Thanks!

Boar Care: Bits, Bums & Baths

Look at the photo by @Stewybus on penis prongs- does this look similar to your furball baby?

I know they can get cauliflower Willy/frilly Willy which makes the penis stick out more than norm
Look at the sticky at the top of the health &illness section for boars bits. Sometimes boys get gunked up &need a clean to make them get the penis retracted &sometimes they normally stick out collecting debris as they go!
Have a look at the handy guide,
Hope all is ok with him otherwise. If you're in any doubt try having a vet look him over for peace of mind.

Yes it looks just like that! I'll have a read of the Boar Care. X
 
I have dealt with several boys like this including one who's penis was badly infected & he had to go on a course of Baytril to fight the infection. He also had to have it cleaned twice a day, smearing KY Jelly & Manuka honey on. 3 days after starting that treatment he was as good as new. Usually though it's just a case of opening the penis so you can see the whole shaft & clean it with cotton buds using warm water. When it's all clean add some KY jelly & then see if it will go back into it's pouch like you see most boy piggies. It's essential with the cleaning a bit at a time by dampening any caked on areas on the outside area. Do it very gently as it is very tender ara x
 
UPDATE:
He went to the vets this morning and they gave him an injection to reduce the swelling. They also sad it was dry so it wasn't able to 'seal' itself back in. They said rubbing lube or Vaseline does the job. I did that and it slide straight back in like normal. Sometimes it gets stuck if it dries. Dave is now fine! x
