Hi All,
We have 2 Guineas Fozzy and Rollie who may be known to you through my partner Neda
Rollie is a Dental piggie and has to have regular treatment for this
However this is not directly related, and since Monday he has had evidence of breathing issues, and he has been on Sulfatrim for a few days and seemed OK ish but today I have come home to him breathing heavily and slow almost like a slow heartbeat more than breathing
He has been to an out of hours vet who has injected him I can't recall what with, but they we satisfied with his level of fluids and he's normally a hefty pig around the 1.28lg marl today he's at 1.20 which has happened before so in and if itself not a huge concern but the breathing still seems bad (appointment was 11pm)
We have a nebuliser that we have used to great effect with Foz in the past and have given Rollie a few bursts in this with some saline to help his breathing and cool him as the weather has been super hot the past 2 days
Anyway I'm looking for some.... Inclination that all is not lost really? I'm worried that he is in a bad place as his breathing seems to slow every function down, but even getting critical care into him has been a problem as he is eating so slowly
I have also given him vit c plus solution to help aid things and he is on Loxicom for pain relief
We have to make another appointment tomorrow morning but I'm fearful we may not make that
Any suggestions welcome
