Can anyone offer any advice. Becksadoodle has just started to seem unsettled. He doesn't seem able to settle tonight and keeps running around then sits and then runs around again...he seems sensitive just behind one ear and shakes his head if you touch that area...is it possible he has something in his ear? Any advice appreciated.

aww poor love. i dont know but i am sure someone will come up with something. Hope your boy is ok x

I'm no expert but it sounds possible he could have something there :(
Do you have an out of hours vet you could call for advice ? Would also explore the possibility of an infection ?/
I found this link but not really informative:

There is not much about ears on the guinea pig lynx site either unless I've overlooked it mallethead
There are some really good experienced owners on here - hope someone can offer you further advice.
Fingers x'd for your piggy, keep us posted and hope he's ok x>>

Just to let you all know Becksadoodle is back to normal...I think I may have over-reacted a bit panicking after recently losing Gabe...I think it may have been because I moved the girls house too close and he was getting a bit excited...I moved the girls to the other end of the room that same night and he is now acting, eating and drinking normally...thankyou for your replies though :)

I was just about to say, when my boys are very excited-for example when they are eating some yummy veggies, and I stroke them, they purr and shake their heads! It makes me smile, because it's almost like a person having a really delicious meal and shaking their head like "Mmmm-mmmm!" hehe :))

our boar's the same. when he sees fresh grass put in his cages, he shakes his head and purrs while running towards the grass, then shakes his head and purrs again when starting to eat :)
