hi i cleaned my piggy out and then i realised we didn't have any hay. By the time i could get my parents to not be busy or out the shops had closed. I need help because we don't have any bedding for him. Also just so as you know my guinea pigs are in separate cages due to aggressive behaviour to one another so can't snuggle for warmth. please help. Any suggestions.grrrr:{:...?/

Do they live indoors or outdoors? If they live outdoors then try to persuade your parents to bring them in for the night, as the temperature is still dropping too low to be outdoors with no hay to snuggle in.

Hay isn't just useful for bedding but it is important to help keep their digestion running smoothly. Do make sure they have some food with them to last all night, until you can get some hay in the morning - a bowlful of dry food (pellets/nuggets) and if you can pick some grass for them, that would help a lot too.

thankyou so much

thank you so much yes unfotunately they do live outdoors . thanks for the tip i will give them a handful of grass and bowl of pellets. you know you are a life saver i can't thankyou enough!xx>>>x>>:p:)):)):):)p

I would grab some fleece and bundle that in so they can snuggle under that it can always be washed :(|) and make sure they have plenty of food too.
or you could always try a londis/one stop or larger garage like tesco express sometimes they stock cat/dog food and depending on how big it is they may have a small compressed hay?

they will need something to keep them warm do you have any old blankets, fleeces etc? failing that do you have a shredder? if so can you shread some newspaper or plain paper with no printing on it, i no it is not ideal as guineas tend to eat it but it is better than nothing as a one off!
