My guinea pig has a little upset tummy today and his poops are sticky and tear drop shaped. He ate some food that upset his tummy a bit and then i gave him extra lettuce as well to help digest it and extra water. So i saw that increase in veggies can cause an upset tummy also. I’ve done some looking around here on the forums and it has said to take them off of veggies for 24 hours to help settle it down. the last time i fed him was this morning and I split his meal in half so i usually feel him twice a day to keep him on my breakfast and dinner schedule. Should i skip his dinner tonight and then go ahead with breakfast in the morning ?

You need to remove all veg from the diet until poops normalise. When poops normalise, still keep them off veg for a further 24 hours to ensure things have really settled down. You can then reintroduce veg slowly to ensure it doesnt cause any further issues. Starting with herbs is often recommended as they tend to be milder on tummies. Therefore, you will need to see how things go, but you may not be able to give veg tomorrow morning either - a piggy with an upset tummy may need to be off veg for several days.
