hi well after waiting two weeks the planning office finally sent me a letter and i got it today.they said i DO have to have planning permission.what a bloody joke thats all i can say. xx

I'm going to apply for planning permission anyway and see what they say then.one good thing it doesnt cost anything to apply.it turns out we even have to have planning permission for a shed lol x

Oh that takes the biscuit. I could understand if it was a masive shed!
Good job i dont have too as i have 4 sheds and a aviary / chicken coop with another couple of sheds planned lol.
I hope you get the pp and your Summerhouse :)

i wanted it for the summer but it takes 8 weeks to sort out so it will be too late for the summer but it would be ok for the guineas to go in in the winter so i will still get it and then use it for them in the winter then we can use it in the summer.thats if they say i can have one x

How come you need to apply? I thought that a summer house was seen as a non permanant structure?! x

Yes I thought that too. Also I point out, that you don't need planning permission I think for extensions to your house if it is under a certain meterage. Tell me if I am wrong.

Apparantly we have to have planning permission because when the built our houses the council took our rights to have any garden buildings away its total crap if you ask me x

Thats just rubbish of them, the usual rule is that as long as it comes down and you're not putting a concrete base down, which is permanent then you're fine.

Thats what we thought but they said we have to ask for planning permission and that takes eight weeks guess we wont be having one this summer then :(
