well took her to the new vet. she said the eye could be ring worm but treatment would be harsh for shea at mo and babies would have to be removed from her. the test would take three days. :(

she looked at sores and said that could be mites but nothing showed up under microscope :-\

conclusion was give shea half dose injection of ivermectin and return in a week. if eye gets worse in next three days then do ring worm test.

she is on antibiotics. cant use anything on sores :'( asked about creams like sudacrem...u know nappy rash stuff but cause of zinc especially, can't be used dangerous to babies.

poor shea feel so sorry for her, she is such a good mum

Hi,Yes Gorgeous Guinea products are good,or you could go to chemist and get a tube of Kamilosan(this is for human nursing mothers with sore nipples) it is very soothing and safe to use on baby pigs(or their mums) because it will cause no harm to the babes if they ingest it.You might be able to get it in a supermarket as well. Mary

thanx mary i will give it a try anything that help the poor mummy ;) and everyone else for your thoughts
