A couple of weeks ago I asked for advice on my new baby girls...one was bullying the other and making her life a misery. They seemed to have sorted out their relationship and all is now calm!

The little one who was being bullied has made good friends with our dog Travis, she runs up to the bars of the cage whenever he comes over and he sits with his nose pushed against the cage wagging his tail and she actually touches noses with him....It is just so sweet. He used to love our other piggy who passed away and she him, but is now totally in love with little Phoebe. The bully Monica stands back watching in awe! I think she now views Phoebe with a little more respect :)p

That's great to hear, and how cute that Phoebe and the dog get on so well!

It just goes to show how clever guineas are, it didn't take Phoebe long to work out that our dog Travis was an absolute sweetie. He was very upset when our guinea Bridget died and used to lay where her cage had been!

I'm glad that Phoebe has a new friend and protector - and your dog a new sweetheart as well!

LOL vicky, Yes it is a bit of an unnatural relationship but they do seem very fond of each other. Phoebe has now taken to wheeking at the dog the same way she does when she sees one of us!

The funniest thing is he reacts to any bickering between them by barking, this results in monica running for cover and phoebe running over to the side of the cage to see him!

Oh Frank how sweet is that! I get very annoyed with people who dont think that guineas are as important a pet as a dog or cat. When our elderly pig Bridget died aged 7 most of my friends said or at least it wasn't the dog you lost! I couldn't have been been more upset when our lovely guinea died...
