She is doing great! Gained her weight back, no problem! Thanks be God ! And Determination! But, I slept an entire week after(I'm 67) after to play catchup !Round the clock is hard. I also want to share, 14 years ago I lost a 5 year old, MY first stasis, did NOT have the luxury of not having to work, I did run home for critical care at my lunch break for 15 min…now, 14 years wiser, STASIS IS SERIOUS as hell..thats why its 95 percent fatal…it takes round the clock care care and people who have a morgage, rent etc, this is not possible and I look back and know why i lost my beloved Luigi…I did not even know what was wrong with no exotic vet on my barrier island and I would have had to quit my job(med professional) to do this type care required to save these pets from this serious GI illness. I guess one might could take a leave from work(2 wks) but we were short back 14 yrs ago and again, no one really knew why he stopped eating etc…so…Its just good to KNOW IT IS POSSIBLE to SAVE them, but i also was prepared to give it my all and still loose…just so Happy how it turned out! God bless caregivers to these amazing Pocket pets I love so much!

I'm really happy for you- I've lost that battle every time unfortunately, even with an exceptional exotic vet, and it's one of the reasons why I stopped the piggy cycle.
The exhaustion is so real, physical and mental. You deserve a good rest!

How long did it take for your piggie to return to somewhat normal? Ours, bloat and stasis set in on Sunday, so 6 days ago. On cisapride, Reglan, metacam, subq fluids, probiotics. Started poop soup today, been giving critical care round the clock along with water. She just started nibbling on dry food, and very minimal nibbling on hay. She does eat leafy greens well though, so hydration has been good.

I think we just want her better to fast. Would love to know how long it took yours!
